1. Who We Are
Behind Thee Influence ("BTI", "we", "us", or "our") is a Shadow Operator business that builds digital products and launch systems for micro-influencers on a performance-based, revenue-share model. Our primary website is behindtheeinfluence.com.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle the personal information of visitors to our site, prospective creator partners who book calls or request audits, and active creator partners we work with.
For questions about this policy, contact us at sam@behindtheeinfluence.com.

- Creator onboarding information — niche, follower count, platform handles, audience insights, and business goals that you share with us when we begin working together.
- Communications — emails, messages, and other correspondence you send to us.
Information generated automatically

Information we do not collect
We do not collect payment card details directly — any payments are processed through third-party processors such as Stripe. We do not collect sensitive personal data such as government IDs, health information, or financial account details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers — tools we use to operate the business (e.g. Google Workspace for email and calendar, project management software, payment processors). These providers are contractually required to protect your data and may only use it to perform services on our behalf.
- Legal requirements — if we are required to disclose information by law, court order, or regulatory authority.
- Business transfer — in the unlikely event that BTI is acquired or merged with another entity, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to deliver our services and meet our legal obligations:
- Prospective partners (enquiries, audits, call bookings): up to 12 months from last contact, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Active creator partners: for the duration of our working relationship and up to 3 years after it ends, for accounting and dispute-resolution purposes.
- Analytics data: retained in aggregated, anonymised form indefinitely; individual-level data deleted within 14 months.

We will respond to all requests within 30 days. If you are located in the EU or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Cookies & Tracking
Our website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to understand how visitors interact with our pages. These may include:
- Essential cookies — required for the site to function (e.g. session management).
- Analytics cookies — help us understand traffic patterns and page performance. We use anonymised, aggregated data only.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain site features but will not prevent you from accessing our content.
8. Third-Party Services
Our website and operations rely on several third-party platforms, including:
- Google Calendar / Calendly — for call scheduling. Governed by Google's and Calendly's respective privacy policies.
- Google Analytics (or equivalent) — for site analytics. Data is anonymised.
- Stripe — for payment processing. We never see or store your full card details.
- Email service providers — for sending transactional emails and launch campaign communications.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these services directly. BTI is not responsible for the data practices of third-party platforms.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. These include encrypted communications (HTTPS), access controls, and limited data sharing within our team.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
